Ways To Wear Denim

No matter what changes in trends and fashion, denim has always been my "go to" uniform from as back as far as I can remember. Surprisingly, denim pants are not first on my list when it comes my top denim picks. There is no other top in my closet that I favor more than my basic denim button up from American Apparel. It's chic, effortless, and never goes out of style. A basic denim jacket is another that I cannot live without. I prefer a vintage Levi's jacket as shown above, and you can score a fabulous one from eBay for under thirty bucks. Last but not least, is a great pair of denim shorts. Don't get me wrong, I love denim pants, but I love layering tights or socks with denim shorts more. Okay, enough about denim, I wish everyone a wonderful and safe New Years Eve!

This denim button up from American Apparel has to be one of the most important staples in my wardrobe. I've been neglecting it so much lately, that I've styled it into three of my outfits in the past week. If you've been looking for that perfect denim button up, I highly recommend this one from AA. While I'm at it, I seriously need these shorts in more colors. They are the most flattering and comfortable high waist shorts on the planet. American Apparel never disappoints.

I'm Urban Outfitters obsessed right now. I scored this sweater skirt in mint and camel for under twenty bucks on Friday. I'd been craving a similar style from American Apparel for over a year, so of course I was super stoked when I stumbled across this one for fraction of the price. As of today, my new years eve plans are still up in the air, as well as what I will be wearing. What's everyone up to for new years eve?

Perfect Time Of Year

I am going to use this post to answer a few questions that I am asked very often. The thigh high socks that I wear in my posts are from american apparel, and can be purchased here. I wear my beanie in the winter months quite often because my ears are always really cold, so you will have to put up with it until it starts to warm up again, I'm sorry. I am a vegetarian and my diet consists of mainly tofu and vegetables, so this is partly why I have such a lean frame. The other part is that I am a very active person who never sits still. I work out five times per week and I walk everywhere, as I live in a downtown area where I do not need to drive. I find it silly that I need to explain this, but I am plagued with comments on me having anorexia on a daily basis, to the point that I had to turn anonymous comments off. You cannot assume that because someone is thin, that they have an eating disorder. We are a mirror image of everything that we judge and say. Positivity and confidence are the two best accessories a girl can wear! :)

Urban Outfitters currently has the greatest sale selection, ever. I happen to live a few blocks from one which just spells danger this time of year. I've been in so many times in the past few weeks, that I was actually embarrassed to walk in this afternoon. It's conveniently located next to the only starbucks that knows how to make a proper latte in downtown, San Diego.

It's crazy raining outside, and according to the forecast, it will continue throughout most of the day. We very rarely receive rain in Southern California, so I suppose it's a nice change. I've been working from my laptop in bed all morning, and it might take a latte or three to pull me from my current situation. I'm very inspired by the sunlight in the morning, and without that, I may stay parked until hunger or my boston terrier, Bella, force me to move.

Casual Fall Day

I've been living in my double u-neck dresses from American Apparel lately. I've decided that this will be my new uniform for running errands around town during the day. I love the effortless appeal of backpacks and chucks. They will never get old to me. Hopefully, I'll never get too old for them. Haha!

The Deepest Blues Are Black

I scored this amazing jacket and vintage skirt from eBay the other week, and of course, they're black. I've been super obsessed with my PS1 bag lately. It has to be my favorite of all my bags. I lengthened the strap a bit, and I've been slinging it around my body like it's nobody's business. It tops off each outfit with an effortless appeal that I dig so much. If I had a small fortune lying around, I'd be super inclined to purchasing it in the rad camel color that it comes in. What's your favorite bag of the moment?

I went shopping in my closet last week and found this amazing double u-neck dress from American Apparel hanging under a tunic sweater. Man, I need more closet space. I figured that you'd be happy that I incorporated something other than all black into this look, even if it is a neutral color. However, I wore all black again today. I blame the weather.
